Change of Status to F-1

Premier Pathway to Study

Unlock New Opportunities with Shepherd School of Language.
If you are currently in the United States on a non-immigrant visa (such as B-1/B-2, H-1B, or L-1) and seek to pursue professional English language training, you may be eligible to transition to F-1 Student Status within the U.S.

Step 1

Secure Admission: Apply by filling out the SSL Online Application and receive your official Letter of Acceptance.

Step 2

Prepare required documents: Work with your DSO. They will help you, step by step, successfully prepare all the documents.  Remember, time is essential. It can take a lot longer than you think.

Step 3

Be safe and patient: Seriously. You don’t want to weaken your case by adding something to your file while you are waiting.  Our DSOs are more than happy to advise you if you have any questions.

Step 4

Receipt Approval letter: Congratulations!! Report to your DSO immediately, attend orientation, and begin your classes as soon as possible to finalize the process.
